Today, I’m going to tell you the story of Colorsinspo — all in one resource for finding everything about color. My friend and I started Colorsinspo to share our passion for color, and provide an all in one resource for designers, artists, developers, illustrators, and anyone who needs a fresh color combination for their design project & level up their color knowledge.

👨🏻‍💻 The Idea

The idea of building such a product came from our own experience of learning about colors. We see lots of information about finding perfect colors, usage guides, and many tools scattered over the internet.

Also, our friends who are web designers or artists were sending us messages once in a while that goes like, can you suggest to me some articles related to colors or” or a request like Can you suggest the best color tool list? Help me to find some color-related inspiration, man.

We decide to give them from one source so anyone is looking for can find it in one place. We thought that by doing that, I can easily send a link to one website to find all resources related to color So We started designing & coding it.

We both love building things which are easily incorporated in anything that user may be working with daily lives.

🎯 The Goal

Colorsinspo is built on purpose to educate people about color as it plays a vital role in affecting viewers’ emotions. It is a fact that visual interaction speaks more than text does. To successfully derived your audience towards the product, you need to have the best visuals and precisely colors that represent your brand and connect with the customer’s emotion.

For us what matters the most is how you use colors for your product or creative artworks. So we do basic research on how you can get out of the most from Colorsinspo.

💻 Development Cycle

We decided to build a whole idea from scratch that grows and teaches you about color and helps to choose color palette also, providing different kinds of color tools. After a couple of hours into the design and development, we had a working prototype. The experience of using it was phenomenal.

The development cycle for this side-project has started and we’re spending our free time fixing all the mistakes we made. We’re also planning for our next development cycle and will try figuring out how to manage data or how we are going to market.

We wanted to make a website that feels alive, easy to read, and interactive. We also kept the layout clean and appealing for quality user experience.

We had a pretty good functional first beta version that we started spreading out to friends. This helped in early feedback and understanding of how other designers research colors in their design process & work.

🚀 Stand Out From Crowd

There are tons of great websites with a list of color palettes over the internet. We can’t win the competition; also, we are not the same as what is already in the market. But what is it that makes us so unique?

Colorsinspo is not only defined as a set of regular color palettes website, but we highly focused on design to make sure the designer quickly learn and understand the different category of colors within the color palette.

Colorsinspo is a product that is continually updating and learning color standards and theories. We understand the strategic side of color for your brand. We update our site daily and trying to get feedback from users and serve better & better to the community.

We understand the basics of human interaction between our product and people. We have to make sure that our product is so adaptable that he/she doesn’t think of it as just another website.
